RAMSEY, NJ The Don Bosco Prep Spring Track and Field team finished yet another fantastic season under first-year Head Coach Dalton Friend. Dozens of Ironmen received All League and All County nods, with eleven athletes qualifying to compete on the National stage. The Ironmen finished 3-1 in regular season dual meets and took 2nd place in the County and League Championships.

The Ironmen had six All League athletes and two All County athletes:

2nd Team: Noah Granados (800m), Justin Parris (400m), Lamont Lester (Discus), Dan Parisi (Javelin)

At the County Championship, many athletes excelled throughout many of the events:

Triple Jump: Bobby Mays (1st)
Shotput: Lamont Lester (3rd)

Pole Vault: Lorenz Neblung (1st), Cornelius Wallace (3rd)
100m: Greg Celariste (6th)
200m: Greg Celariste (5th)
400m: Justin Parris (2nd)
800m: Ryan LoCicero (1st), Thomas Petrie (2nd), Justin Parris (4th)
1600m: Ryan LoCicero(1st), Thomas Petrie (3rd), Paul Maguire (5th)
3200m: Ryan LoCicero (1st), Colin Hall (4th)
4x400m: Justin Parris, Joseph D’Angelo, Harrison Carolan, Thomas Petrie (3rd)

110m Hurdles: Bobby Mays (3rd)
At the Bergen County Meet of Champions, there were three top 6 finishers:
Bobby Mays – 1st Team All County – Triple Jump / 1st Place High Jump Bergen County Meet of Champions
Ryan LoCicero – 3rd Team All County – 1600m
Malik Sheppard – 4th Place Bergen County Meet of Champions High Jump
Lastly, Justin Parris set a new record at Don Bosco Prep in both the 400m (50.34) and the 800m (2:01:67).
The 2023 Ironmen Spring Track Team went above and beyond this season, and we look forward to their continued success for years to come.
