WOODLAND PARK, NJ – It was a red carpet affair on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, as the Don Bosco Prep Mothers’ Guild hosted its Annual Fashion Show at the “one and only” Westmount Country Club. “Old Hollywood Glamour” was this year’s theme, featuring elegant styles worn by women models highlighting designers, Chocheng, Marissa Wilson, Douglas Says, and KD Boutique, while the Ironmen Seniors sported tuxedos from Biltmore as they rocked the runway. The evening was a complete success, with a sold-out crowd for one of the year’s biggest fundraisers, as all proceeds went directly back to Don Bosco Prep to enhance students’ experience.
Melodies from the DBP musicians under Mr. Cecere’s direction filled the room as guests entered. The festivities continued with a cocktail hour, silent auction, basket raffles, a 50/50, and a delicious dinner. Attendees bid on a variety of items donated by local businesses, Bosco families, and community members. Smiles were on everyone’s faces as the highlight of the evening was watching the brotherhood in action as the student models danced down the walkway. The Seniors included: Brody Alston, Alex Benjamin, Richard Black, Jack Bryan, Andrew Chanfrau, Spencer Donohue, Mack Gutjahr, Joseph Logan, Thomas Maher, Ethan Marich, Anthony Martino, Julian Matos, Anthony Monaco, Liam Nye, Ty Oller, Liam St. Pierre, and Destyn Zarate.
The night was a big hit with months of planning, hard work, and dedication from the Fashion Show Committee and a long list of volunteers, including parents, alumni, sponsors, faculty, school staff, students, and local businesses. Special acknowledgement to the Mother’s Guild led by Co-Presidents Nancy Brillo and Kristi McHale, Fashion Show Co-Chairpersons Yvonne McHugh and Stephanie Gehrig, Models Chairperson Amy Morik, and all of the other Mothers’ Guild volunteers. Constant support from Father Abraham Feliciano, Mr. Joseph Azzolino, Mr. Jeffrey Wojcik, administrators, teachers, the entire Advancement Office team, Karen McNamara, Maryrose Neri, and the entire Bosco community made this event truly special.
