The Theater Arts Program at Don Bosco Prep will present ‘For The Record’, the school’s first student-led production of an original full-length play written by DBP student Gianluca Tredici ‘22.
The student-led production is a stage play performance written, directed, and produced by students as a component of the Theater Production elective course. This year’s student-led production is a world premiere of an original full length play written as part of the Playwriting elective course.
The play takes place in 1953 New York City, when a hardworking mechanic named Daniel Turner finally gets a raise. The economy is booming. Records are spinning. Can Daniel stay on track without sacrificing his principals? If there’s no risk there’s no reward.
Showcasing the talents of theater artists from the DBP student body, every aspect of the show is designed and created by students, including the script, set, lights, sound, props, costumes. Don Bosco Prep continues to empower young men through unique and engaging student-leadership opportunities.
Direction by Gianluca Tredici ‘22, Set Design by Alexander Stankiewicz ‘22, Lighting Design by Anthony Tan ‘22, Sound Design by Aaron Baluyot ‘23, and Costume Design by Juan Matos ‘22.
‘For the Record’ will perform Saturday, May 21st 7:00pm in the DeSales Hall Auditorium. Tickets are available online at https://linktr.ee/dbpperformingarts
