Spirit Week Day 1

DODGE BALL – BOUNCE RACE

By Christian LoBrutto ’25

RAMSEY, NJ – To open up this energetic and eventful Spirit Week, at the beginning of the school day, homeroom students and faculty competed in a Don Bosco-themed Kahoot. Homeroom I-111 came out victorious, with homeroom J-323 trailing right behind them, coming in a close second.

Walking through the halls, students and faculty were seen in their pajama pants for the first of the many dress down days this week.

Brother Travis opened the long-awaited, much-anticipated gym activities with a prayer, invoking the spirit of our spiritual founder, St. John Bosco. Dodgeball was the first event in the gym. The Freshmen made it to the Finals against the Seniors and won over the Seniors in a close match, that was only announced after an official review. In the Bounce Race event, the Seniors got their revenge on the Freshmen with a blowout in the Finals. This blowout led to the Seniors running from the bleachers onto the court and forming a huge dance circle in celebration.

At the conclusion of this action-packed first day of Spirit Week festivities, the student body was dismissed by Mr. Wojcik.
